Adidas Cooperates with E-Commerce Platform Tmall
Adidas and Tmall announced a comprehensive strategic cooperation on February 19th. The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation on new product launches, new retail, consumer operations and new product innovation.
The exclusive release of Adidas latest line of running shoes – UltraBoost 19 – on Tmall on February 21st was a start of the cooperation.
In 2018 Tmall Double Eleven Global Shopping Festival, Adidas’ trading volume on a single day exceeded 150 million US dollars. The Adidas Tmall flagship store now has the largest sales scale compared with other single stores worldwide.
Kobe Bryant to Attend FIBA World Cup Draw in Shenzhen
The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Draw will be held at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center on March 16th. The former US basketball national team player Kobe Bryant will attend the draw as the global ambassador of 2019 Basketball World Cup. American singer Jason Derulo will also be present.
32 teams will participate in this year's World Cup and currently 18 teams have already clinched their spots:

Uruguay to Join 2019 China Cup
Uruguay, Thailand, Uzbekistan confirmed their participation in the 2019 China Cup International Football Championship. The third edition of the China Cup continues to sit in Nanning and will be held from March 21 to 25.
On March 21st, the host China team will face the Thai side that has just encountered in the Asian Cup 2019. The defending champion Uruguay will playe against Uzbekistan on March 22nd. The winner of the two ties will progress to the final on March 25.
Figo to Visit Shanghai for Champions League Promotion
Former Portuguese football star and UEFA official ambassador Luís Figo will attend the global football fans' meeting in Mumbai, Shanghai and Rio de Janeiro from March to May in 2019. UEFA hopes to bring the Champions League to emerging markets through a series of fan events held around the world,
Each event will combine local cultural features with Champions League events. The Shanghai fans event will be held on April 11th. Chinese Double Amputee Xia Boyu Wins Laureus Awards
On February 19th, the 2019 Laureus World Sports Awards Ceremony was held at the Monte Carlo Country Club, Monaco. China’s double amputee, Mount Everest climber, won the Laureus Sporting Moment of the Year. He became the 5th Chinese Laureus winner after Yao Ming, Liu Xiang, Chinese Olympics delegation and Li Na.
In 1975, Xia Boyu stranded in a high-altitude storm when climbing Mount Everest and he gave his sleeping bag to his ailing mate, causing him to suffer from frostbite and losing his legs. He did not give up climbing after amputation and successfully climbed Mount Everest at the age of 69.
ATP 250 Event heads to Zhuhai
The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) announced that Zhuhai will serve as the host city for the ATP250 Zhuhai Championships. The event will be held at the Hengqin International Tennis Center from September 23rd to 29th and offers 1 million US dollars as the prize money.
Zhuhai is located at the heart of economical dynamic Greater Bay Area, close to Hong Kong and Macau. It has been selected as the most livable city in China by Chinese Academy of Social Science in 2015.
