Argentine Football Association with a record-breaking sales on China E-commerce

 

The China official online store of Argentine Football Association (AFA) was launched online at 12:00 on April 15, Beijing time. By 12:00 April 18, AFA Chinese official store, which had been launched for only 3 days, had sold 771 items, which are more than the monthly sales of Real Madrid China store (417 items) and Manchester City China store (251 items) together. The two stores have been operating E-commerce business in China for a time and were leading the market.

With more than 500 million downloads in more than 150 countries and regions, TikTok is considered as a creative way to connect with fans of young generation.

Chinese Rising Basketball Talent Abdulsalam Abdurexiti Endorces Converse

 

On April 19th, Chinese professional basketball player Abdulsalam Abdurexiti announced on Weibo his endorsement with Converse.

 

The American shoe company has officially returned to basketball market with its new-launching basketball shoes All-Star Pro BB on April 17th. Abdurexiti will help Converse to support the recently unveiled product and other initiatives in the sport.

Lululemon Signs Endorsement Deal with Chinese Actor Qu Chuxiao

 

On April 16th, The Canadian athletic apparel retailer Lululemon Athletica announced that Qu Chuxiao, the Chinese young actor, becomes their official endorser. He is the first male endorser of Lululemon in Greater China area.

 

Lululemon is a self-described yoga-inspired athletic apparel company for women and men and has gradually gained popularity among Chinese consumers. In the fourth quarter of 2018, Lululemon's e-commerce growth rate in China exceeded 140%. On January this year, the company signed an endorsement deal with the Chinese actress Xin Zhilei.

ITTF Strengthens Online Presence in China with Toutiao

 

On April 17th, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has announced the launch of a site on Beijing-based news and information content platform Toutiao, as it continues to expand its digital presence in China.

 

Users will see ITTF official short videos on Toutiao, including the match highlights, tournament news and player interviews. The 2-year deal will also see cooperation of two sides in the promotion of table tennis big data and commercial events.

 

The content aggregator Toutiao is one of the China’s fastest-growing digital platforms. It offers over 700 million users tailored feeds based on their interests and interactions.

NBA China Partners with Chinese Electronics Firm Changhong

 

On April 15th, Sichuan Changhong Electric (Changhong) and NBA China announced an official partnership between two sides.

 

The Chinese consumer electronic company will be the exclusive partner of NBA China in televisions, refrigerators and air conditioners markets. Changhong has also signed cooperation contracts with three NBA players, Anthony Davis, Devin Booker and Eric Bledsoe.

 

Found in 2008, NBA China is an entity that will conduct all of the league’s businesses in Greater China. In 2018, Changhong became the official sponsor of Belgium men’s national football team and the agreement marks Belgium’s first sponsorship deal with a Chinese company.

Monumental Sports and Entertainment (MSE) announced on April 18th another payment option for fans of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Washington Capitals and National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Washington Wizards. Alipay, the world's leading digital payment platform, operated by Ant Financial Services Group, will be acceptable at Capital One Arena for the use across ticketing, concessions and team merchandise.
